I wonder why Dover never obtained the rights to print this one. Another book arrived in the mail today. A journey of chess improvement, 1 rating point at a time. Yemolinsky is a noted chess writer and instructor. If you aren;t already doing so then work through a tactics DVD like 'CT Art' and (actively) read Yermolinsky's 'Road to Chess Improvement'. If you've read even only a few chapters of his book The Road to Chess Improvement (out of print) you'll know why in 2004 he told me he had no more books to write because he couldn't think of anything more!! It seems to have a similar format to Chess Master vs Chess Amateur and is a highly regarded book. It is a 1973 hardcover edition of Euwe's The Road to Chess Mastery. Lately, I've been most pleased with my recent internet chess games. As a chess parent, the best we can do is to keep believing in our child, knowing these temporary setbacks are necessary building blocks on the road to chess improvement. Restarted my chess activities just now.. It is similar in style to John Watson's 'Secrets of Modern Chess Strategy' and GM Yermolinsky's 'The Road to Chess Improvement'; if you liked those books, you'll definitely enjoy this one. Eu Hong's Road to Chess Improvement ~ Chess Reloaded. I've managed to mantain a 1600 ELO Blitz rating on playchess.com without much trouble. Need to brush off my rustiness.. I am almost done with The Art of the. Yermolinsky's Road to Chess Improvement is still excellent and has some commentary on the Benko Gambit which is somewhat similar to Georgiev's Squeezing the Gambits book (which is very packed with details). First step to restart after 1.5years.. Someone mentioned in a thread The Road To Chess Improvement by Alaxander Yermolinsky (I think JacksonWShowalter). Yermolinsky's and Rowson's books, The Road To Chess Improvement and Seven Deadly Chess Sins/Chess For Zebras could also form the basis of a systematic approach to improving one's game.
